Classes

- Class size is limited. Machines are furnished on a first come first served basis, or you can bring your own.
- Bring General Sewing Supplies as well as any class supplies called for in the supply list links.

| We are now renting time on the Jewel long arm quilting machine with it's built in stitch regulator to finish your quilt tops yourself! |
Prior to renting, you must complete a certification class, where you will learn to load the quilt operate the machine and some quilting techniques.

Wednesday Embroidery club will be starting Pansies and Parasols by Anita Goodesign on Wed. June 2nd at 12:30. All of the quilt blocks are created in your embroidery hoop. The only piecing required is sewing the individual blocks together.

A YEAR OF TABLE RUNNERS OR WALL HANGINGS

| Starting in February we will be offering a class where you will either piece or embroider a quilt block that can be put together as a table runner or a wall hanging.
|
The book we will be working from is Eleanor Burns “Quilts Through the Seasons”.
|
| There will be two separate classes for each block You can choose to either piece your block traditionally, or paper piece it in the hoop on your embroidery machine. The embroidery designs will be provided as part of the class. |
| Embroidery pieced block classes will be the second Saturday of each month. |
| Pieced block classes will be the third Saturday of each month.You will make one block in each class |
| On the fourth Saturday of each month we will construct the table runner or wall hanging. The construction will be the same for both types of blocks. You will be responsible for making the additional blocks for the table runner or wall hanging before the construction class. |
| “Quilts Through the Seasons” also shows how each block can be used in a larger quilt.
By the end of 12 months, you will have made table runners or wall hangings for the different seasons. You can get a head start on your Christmas gift list, or give yourself a gift each month! |
The classes are priced per class:
$10.00 for block construction, embroidered or pieced
$10.00 for the table runner or wall hanging construction class
